Wells Fargo Reflect Card: a long intro APR for paying down debt
Interest-free time to pay down debt, with a balance transfer fee to factor in
The Wells Fargo Reflect® Card is a no-annual-fee Visa card built around one feature: a 0% intro APR for 21 months from account opening on purchases and qualifying balance transfers. It doesn’t offer rewards or a welcome bonus, so its value comes from the time it gives you to pay down debt or a large purchase without interest.

Below, we explain how the intro APR and balance transfers work, what the card costs after the intro period and who it makes sense for.
How the 0% intro APR works
For 21 months from the day you open the account, purchases and qualifying balance transfers carry a 0% APR. To qualify for the intro rate, balance transfers must be made within 120 days of account opening. After the intro period, a variable APR of 17.74%, 24.24% or 28.49% applies, depending on your creditworthiness.
Balance transfers have a fee of 5% of each transfer, with a $5 minimum, even during the intro period. On a $5,000 transfer, that’s $250 added to your balance. There’s also no grace period on balance transfers: interest accrues from the day a transfer posts. During the intro period that interest is 0%, but once the intro period ends, any transferred balance you still carry starts costing you right away.
To get the full benefit, divide what you owe by 21 and pay at least that amount each month. Any balance left when the intro period ends starts accruing interest at the standard rate.
Other card benefits
The Reflect card includes cell phone protection of up to $600 per claim against damage or theft when you pay your monthly cell phone bill with the card. Each claim has a $25 deductible, you can make up to two paid claims per 12-month period, and phones that are simply lost aren’t covered.
You also get Roadside Dispatch®, a 24/7 service that sends a tow truck or roadside help when you need it, with no membership required. You pay for the service itself. Through My Wells Fargo Deals, you can activate offers from selected merchants and receive cash back as an account credit. And with Zero Liability protection, you won’t be held responsible for unauthorized transactions you report promptly.

About Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo is one of the largest banks in the United States, offering checking and savings accounts, loans, mortgages, investments and several credit cards, including cash back, travel and credit-building options.
Keep two of its card rules in mind before applying. You may not qualify for a new Wells Fargo credit card if you’ve opened one in the last four months. And if you’ve had the Reflect card in the last 48 months, even if the account is closed, you may not be eligible for the intro APR.
Managing the card
You manage the card through Wells Fargo Online and the Wells Fargo Mobile® app, where you can check your balance, make payments, request balance transfers and follow your FICO® Score through Credit Close-Up®.
Our take on the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card
The Wells Fargo Reflect® Card is a strong tool if you have high-interest credit card debt to move or a large purchase to pay off over time, and you can clear the balance within 21 months. The long intro period gives you more room than most cards.
Before you transfer a balance, run the numbers. The 5% fee is higher than on some other balance transfer cards, so check that the interest you’ll save outweighs it. Once the intro period ends, the card offers little reason to keep using it: there are no rewards, and the standard APR is high.
Approval depends on your credit profile, and Wells Fargo states that the offer isn’t a guarantee of credit.
