The card focuses on rewards for common spending, like groceries, gas and recurring bills, while keeping the account simple to manage.

Before applying, it’s important to understand how the rewards work, as well as the card’s interest rates and fees.

Pros and Cons of the Credit Card

Pros:

  • Earn 1 Flex Rewards point per $1 on groceries, on gas and sustainable transit, and on recurring bills and digital streaming, up to $5,000 in annual purchases in each of these three categories;
  • Earn 0.5 points per $1 on all other purchases. Each point is worth 1 cent when redeemed as cash back, which works out to 1% and 0.5% cash back;
  • No annual fee ($0);
  • Redeem points as cash back deposited into your chequing or savings account, or for merchandise, gift cards, travel and event tickets from the rewards catalogue;
  • Includes Mobile Device Insurance (repair or replacement of up to $1,000, with depreciation), Purchase Protection for 90 days and Extended Warranty of up to 12 additional months;
  • Save up to 25% on car rentals at Hertz, Thrifty and Dollar.

Insurance coverage is subject to the terms, limits and exclusions in the Certificate of Insurance provided with the card.

Cons:

  • The higher earn rate is limited to $5,000 in annual purchases per category. After that, purchases in that category earn 0.5 points per $1;
  • The cash back rates (1% and 0.5%) are lower than some other no-fee cash back cards;
  • A 20.99% purchase interest rate applies if you carry a balance;
  • A 2.5% foreign transaction fee applies to purchases in foreign currencies;
  • The card doesn’t include travel insurance.

Credit Card Fees and Charges

The Conexus Cash Back Mastercard® has no annual fee, so there’s no yearly cost to keep the account open.

The annual interest rate for purchases is 20.99%, and the rate for cash advances is 22.99%.

If you don’t pay your full balance by the due date, interest is added to your account. Cash advances are charged interest from the transaction date, with no grace period.

For purchases in a foreign currency, a 2.5% conversion fee is added to the exchange rate.

Other fees, such as over-limit and returned payment fees, may apply. See the Collabria cardholder agreement for the full list.

Rates and fees checked on September 22, 2026, against the official Conexus website. Confirm current terms on the Conexus and Collabria websites before applying.

Paying your statement in full by the due date each month helps you avoid interest on purchases.
