Compare both options, check pre-qualification and apply

The Truist Enjoy Cash Visa® Credit Card, formerly the Truist Cash Rewards card, is a no-annual-fee cash back card from Truist Bank. Applying for it involves one decision you can’t undo: choosing how you’ll earn rewards. This guide helps you make that choice, then walks through the application and what to do once you’re approved.

Terms checked in September 2026 from Truist’s Enjoy Cash disclosure, revised July 1, 2026. Confirm the current terms on Truist’s official website before you apply.
Step 1: Choose your rewards option
Truist asks you to pick your rewards structure when you apply, and you can’t change it later. The right choice depends on how much of your monthly spending goes to gas, groceries and utilities. Here are two examples:
- If you spend $300 on gas, $500 on groceries and utilities and $500 on everything else each month, Option 1 earns about $24 a month ($9 + $10 + $5), while Option 2 earns $19.50. The tiered option wins.
- If you spend $100 on gas, $200 on groceries and utilities and $1,200 on everything else, Option 1 earns about $19 ($3 + $4 + $12), while Option 2 earns $22.50. The flat 1.5% wins.
Keep the $1,000 monthly cap in mind: once your combined gas, grocery and utility spending passes $1,000 in a month, those purchases earn 1% for the rest of the month. Also remember that groceries bought at drugstores or convenience stores and gas bought at supermarkets or warehouse clubs earn only 1%.
Step 2: Check if you’re pre-qualified
On Truist’s website, you can check whether you’re pre-qualified for a Truist credit card without affecting your credit. It’s a useful first step before you submit a full application.
Step 3: Apply
- On the Enjoy Cash page on Truist’s website, select the Apply now button for the rewards option you’ve chosen. Each option has its own application link.
- Enter your personal information, including your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, employment and income. Truist may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identification.
- If you want to transfer a balance, plan to do it within 90 days of opening the account to get the 0% intro rate. Each transfer must be at least $100 and carries a 3% fee ($10 minimum).
- Review the rates, fees and card agreement, then submit your application.
By applying, you authorize Truist to obtain your credit reports and verify your employment and income. All credit cards are subject to credit approval.
After you’re approved
Once your card is active, set it up in Truist’s online banking or mobile app, where you can make payments, view statements and redeem rewards. Turn on the customizable card controls for added security, and add the card to your mobile wallet if you use contactless payments.
If you have a Truist checking, savings or money market account, redeem your cash back into that account to get the Loyalty Cash Bonus. Everyone who redeems this way gets at least 10% extra. Customers with certain Truist checking accounts can get 20% to 50%, depending on their combined balances with the bank.
