SoFi Unlimited 2% Card: check your offer and apply
Eligibility, prequalification and first steps after approval

The SoFi Unlimited 2% Credit Card is a no-annual-fee World Elite Mastercard® issued by SoFi Bank, N.A. that earns 2% back on eligible purchases when you redeem into a SoFi account. This guide covers who the card suits, how to check your offer, what you need to apply and what to set up once you’re approved.
Who the card suits
The card suits people who want a simple flat-rate card without categories or an annual fee, and who pay their balance in full each month. It’s especially practical if you already use SoFi for banking, investing or loans, since your rewards can go straight into those accounts.
Reviews generally describe it as a card for applicants with good to excellent credit. It isn’t the right choice if you’re planning a large purchase and need time to pay it off, since there’s no intro APR on purchases.
Who can apply
The card is available to U.S. residents who are at least 18, or of legal age in their state. To be approved, you need to meet SoFi’s underwriting requirements, which include verifying that your income is enough to support your ability to pay. If you’re approved, your credit line will be at least $500.
How to apply
- Select Check for Offers on SoFi’s website or in the SoFi app to see whether you prequalify. If you received an offer by mail, you can enter your confirmation number instead.
- Fill in your personal and financial information, including your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, employment and income. If you’re already a SoFi member, some of this information may be filled in for you.
- Review the pricing, terms and conditions before you submit.
- Submit the application. SoFi says it can take up to 30 days from submission to process an application.
Submitting a full application usually results in a hard inquiry on your credit report. SoFi may ask for additional documents to verify your identity or income.
Terms checked in September 2026. Confirm the current terms on SoFi’s official website before you apply.
After you’re approved
Set up the card in the SoFi app, where you can track purchases and rewards and make payments. Then take care of a few details that help you get the most from the card:
- Choose where your rewards go. Points are worth 1 cent each when redeemed toward a SoFi account, including a statement credit on the card.
- Check the card’s guide to benefits for the cell phone protection, which covers up to $800 per claim and $1,000 a year, with two claims per year. Benefits like this typically require paying your monthly phone bill with the card.
- Register for Mastercard ID Theft Protection™, which isn’t active until you sign up.
- If you travel, book through the SoFi Travel Portal from SoFi’s website or app to earn 3%. Bookings made directly on Expedia don’t qualify.

Our take on the SoFi Unlimited 2% Credit Card
The SoFi Unlimited 2% Credit Card offers a strong flat rate with no annual fee, and it fits best if you’re comfortable keeping your rewards within SoFi. Check for offers first to see whether you prequalify, and plan to pay your balance in full each month so the APR doesn’t cancel out your 2%.
