How to get the SoFi Everyday Cash Rewards card
Checking for offers, the application and how it compares with the Unlimited 2%

The SoFi Everyday Cash Rewards Credit Card is a no-annual-fee World Mastercard® from SoFi Bank, N.A. that pays 3% cash back rewards on dining and 2% on groceries. This guide covers who the card suits, how to check your offer and apply, how the credit check works and how it compares with SoFi’s flat-rate card.
Why the SoFi Everyday Cash Rewards card might be right for you
The card fits people who spend a good share of their budget eating out and buying groceries. You earn 3% cash back rewards on eligible dining purchases, 2% on eligible grocery purchases and 1% on everything else. There are no categories to activate: rewards are earned automatically.
It’s especially practical if you already use SoFi. Points are worth 1 cent each when redeemed into an active SoFi account, so you can send them to savings, investing or a SoFi loan payment. If you don’t use other SoFi products, redeeming as a statement credit on the card also gives you full value.
Travel booked through the SoFi Travel Portal, which is operated by Expedia, earns points equal to 3% of what you spend when you book through the portal link on SoFi’s website or app. The card also includes World Mastercard® benefits, such as Mastercard ID Theft Protection™, which you need to register for.
Where the card could improve
- No welcome bonus on the card’s official page
- No intro APR on purchases or balance transfers
- A high APR at the top of the range, up to 32.99%
- Balance transfers currently available only to people who receive promotional offers
- Full value requires redeeming into a SoFi account
- No premium travel perks
We do not receive any monetary compensation when you click on a redirect to the card website or app.
What it costs to keep the card
There’s no annual fee, and SoFi doesn’t charge interest on purchases if you pay your full balance by the due date, 25 days after each billing cycle closes. The card’s published terms don’t list a foreign transaction fee or a penalty APR, and there’s no returned payment fee.
The costs to watch are interest and a few transaction fees:
- Purchase APR: 19.99% to 32.99% variable, based on your creditworthiness
- Cash advance APR: 30.49% variable, with a 5% fee
- Balance transfer fee: $10 or 5%, whichever is greater
- Late payment fee: up to $41
- Minimum interest charge: $1
If you pay your balance in full each month, you can use the card without paying interest while earning cash back rewards.

How to apply for the SoFi Everyday Cash Rewards card
SoFi offers the card through two routes on its website: the Check for Offers tool and, if you received a mailed offer, an option to enter your confirmation number and ZIP code. SoFi doesn’t publish a direct application link on the card’s page, so checking for offers is the way to see whether it’s available to you.
- Go to SoFi’s website or app and select Check for Offers, or use your mail offer’s confirmation number.
- Review the terms of any offer you receive, including your APR.
- Complete the application with your name, address, date of birth and income. SoFi may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identification.
- Submit the application. SoFi says it can take up to 30 days to process.
When SoFi receives your application, it does a soft credit pull, which doesn’t affect your score. A hard pull, which might affect your score, happens only if your application is approved.
To qualify, you must be at least 18, or of legal age in your state, live in the United States and show enough income to support your ability to pay. If you’re approved, your credit line will be at least $500.
Managing your card
You manage the card in the SoFi app or on SoFi’s website, where you can check your balance and available credit, view statements and transactions, make payments and redeem rewards. The card is a fully digital product, so statements and written communications are delivered electronically.
You can also add authorized users. You’re responsible for all their charges, and SoFi may report the account’s performance in their name, so let them know before you add them.
SoFi Everyday Cash Rewards vs. SoFi Unlimited 2%: which one is better for you?
The choice comes down to how you spend. The Everyday Cash Rewards card pays more on dining, the two cards pay the same 2% on groceries, and the Unlimited 2% pays double on everything else. If dining is a big part of your monthly spending, the Everyday card can come out ahead. If your spending is spread across many categories, the Unlimited 2% usually earns more.
| Card | Rewards | Annual fee | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| SoFi Everyday Cash Rewards | 3% on dining, 2% on groceries, 1% on other purchases | $0 | Heavy dining and grocery spending |
| SoFi Unlimited 2% | 2% on all eligible purchases | $0 | Spending spread across many categories |
Both cards have no annual fee and let you redeem into SoFi accounts at the same value. Check for offers first, then pick the one that matches where most of your money goes.
