Mission Lane Visa: see your offer before you commit
How to apply for the Mission Lane Visa

The Mission Lane Visa® Credit Card is an unsecured card for people with fair or limited credit, issued by TAB Bank and serviced by Mission Lane LLC. Its application lets you see whether you’ll be approved, and on what terms, before a hard inquiry is made. This guide explains how that process works, how to read your offer and what happens after you accept.
Who the card suits
The card suits people who are building or rebuilding credit and want an unsecured card without monthly or program fees. It also fits people with a thin credit file, since Mission Lane can consider factors beyond a traditional credit score.
It’s less suitable if you often carry a balance, because the APR can be high, or if you plan to use the card abroad, where each purchase carries a 3% foreign transaction fee.
Step 1: Check whether you’ll be approved
On Mission Lane’s website, you can see whether you’ll be approved with no impact to your credit score. You’ll typically be asked for your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and income. Approval isn’t guaranteed, and the result depends on your credit profile.
Step 2: Read your offer
If you’re approved, Mission Lane shows your terms before you complete the application. Check three things:
- Annual fee: it can range from $0 to $59. If it’s above $0, it will be charged at the end of the first billing cycle in which you use the card and will reduce your available credit.
- APR: it’s variable, based on the Prime Rate plus a margin, and recent offers have ranged from 19.99% to 33.99%. The higher your APR, the more important it is to pay in full each month.
- Credit limit: your starting limit is set by your offer.
If the annual fee is high relative to your credit limit, compare the offer with a secured card that has no annual fee before accepting.
Step 3: Accept and complete the application
If the terms work for you, complete the application to accept the offer. Completing the application usually results in a hard inquiry on your credit report. Once your account is open, the card is mailed to you.
Terms checked in September 2026. Review the exact terms shown in your offer before you accept.
After you’re approved
Download the Mission Lane app for iOS or Android, or log in on Mission Lane’s website, to manage your account. You can make payments, set up payment reminders and check your balance.
Your account is reported to all three major credit bureaus, so pay on time every month. To avoid interest on purchases, pay your full balance by the due date, which is at least 23 days after each billing cycle closes.
If you change your mind after approval, the terms let you reject the account as long as you haven’t used it or paid a fee after receiving a statement.
Growing your credit line
Mission Lane reviews accounts for credit line increases over time. Paying on time, keeping your balance low and keeping your contact and income information up to date put you in a better position when your account is reviewed. An increase isn’t guaranteed.

Our take on the Mission Lane Visa®
The Mission Lane Visa® stands out in the fair and limited credit segment because you can see your terms before a hard inquiry and the fee structure is simple. Its value depends on the offer you get: with a low or $0 annual fee and a balance paid in full each month, it’s an affordable way to build credit. With a high annual fee or a balance you carry, the costs add up quickly.
