Who the card is for
The card suits people who want simple rewards for travel and dining without tracking categories or paying an annual fee. Because you earn the same rate on every purchase and the card has no foreign transaction fees, it works both at home and abroad.
It isn’t a premium travel card. There’s no airport lounge access and no transfers to airline or hotel programs, and you get the most value when you use your points for travel and dining credits.
Who can apply
To apply, you must be at least 18 years old, or at least 21 if you’re a permanent resident of Puerto Rico, and have a residential address in the 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., or a U.S. territory, including APO/FPO/DPO addresses. Approval is subject to Bank of America’s credit review, and the bank doesn’t publish a minimum credit score.
Before you submit a full application, you can check whether you prequalify on Bank of America’s website.

Our take on the Bank of America® Travel Rewards card
The Bank of America® Travel Rewards card is a straightforward option for earning travel and dining credits with no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees. It’s best for people who pay their balance in full and don’t need premium travel perks. If you carry a balance after the intro period, the standard APR will outweigh the 1.5 points you earn per dollar.
